With this in mind, the PEI Model Forest in partnership with the Public Forest Council would like to invite you to a special workshop and tour to help find acceptable and viable solutions. 1:00 - Guided Tour Public Forest Land Management Demonstration - Feel Free to ask any questions along the way. Any input, ideas or suggestions are most welcome. Thank You for you interest in Forest Managemant on PEI. Welcome to Public Forest Land Parcel # 179168. This is a 200 acre(80ha) woodlot with a mixture of softwood and hardwood stand types. A variety of plantations have been established on this property, some of which are currently being utilized research purposes. There is a designated Natural Area on the west end of this property called the Pisquid Pond Natural Area. An inspirational walking trail on the eastern portion of the woodlot was established as part of a joint initiative with the Canadian Breast Cancer Network in conjunction with a fund raiser called the "Giving Trees Giving Hope" event. Site #1: Hardwood Management Site, Farm Tractor and Winch Operation - Attendees will be transported by Horses and sleigh.
